Shade and Akira's Date

Akira took one more glace at Shade's face before leaning on him and looking at the moon.

Shade's eyes turned a weird dark red, that seemed to see through someone's soul. He stayed put.

Akira sat straight up again and closed her eyes for a bit, then opened them. "Please, tell me what is wrong." She said.

"Nothing's wrong." Shade said. "I uh... I just need to go to human form..." Shade got up. He didn't like his human form because it reminded him of the human world.

"Obviously something's wrong if you have to go into human form." She said, "You know you can trust me, so tell me, please?". Akira hated it when he didn't tell her things like this.

"I'm about to go all... evil again... because I'm craving human blood." The people in the distance overheared what Shade said, and ran away in fear. The fear struck Shade, and he went blank again.

Akira knew how he reacted to this and tried to stop him. She jumped onto him, pushing him down to the floor and pinning him to the ground, holding his arms down, waiting for him to return to normal.

Shade blinked. "What are you doing?!" He said.

"You're doing that thing again!" She answered, remembering when she had saw him with the same blank expression as he killed those people.

"I'm fine now..." Shade said. "Could you get off of me now?"

"Oh, right." She said, quickly getting off of him. "Sorry." Akira apologized.

Shade got up, then closed his eyes. His hair turned blonde and his eyes turned brown. His fangs were gone.

Akira stared at him weirdly. She had never seen Shade in his human form before.

Shade shrugged. The killing feeling was gone, but he was reminded about the human world. How they beat him, and sent him to jovie. They put him in a small cell, for the most dangerous of the kids. Everyone would pick on him, and try to hurt him. But Shade was different. Shade had a small sense. He killed half of the people in the center. The guards thought he was some demon-possesd freak. They put him in a straight jacket, and examined him. They found out he was a vampire, and sent him to SkyShatter. But the ride on the plane was no different. They beat him there too, but he was handcuffed.

Akira looked at Shade and then at the ground.

"What?" Shade said, looking at Akira's uneasiness.

Akira shook her head. "Nothing, really." She replied. The truth was that she had saw his thoughts through telepathy this one time. Usually it never worked, but somehow it did this time.

"Lies. Tell me." He demanded.

"Nothing~" She said convincingly. Akira knew he'd feel awkward if he knew that she knew about his past.

"Don't lie to me." Shade said, calmly. "I don't like liers."

Akira looked down at her hands. Says the one who always tells me it's nothing when he's about to kill people... she thought. "Well..." She started to say.

Shade stared at her, waiting for her to say something.

"What you thought of before about your past..." She explained, "I saw.". Akira looked at his face, waiting for his reaction.

Shade looked down. "You saw that..." He sighed. "My thoughts... you really shouldn't see. They're... not very bright..."

Akira looked away. "It wasn't me that used my powers, though. I saw it because something you felt triggered it." She said lowly.
