A cold night

Shade stood at the edge of the field, holding a white flower with red near the center. It made him think of Akira, so he was calm and peaceful. A little away from Shade, lay a girl with rich blonde hair. She looked like she was asleep. Shade spotted the girl and walked over. He hadn't eaten in a while, but he knew if he attacked this girl his evil side would come back, and who know's what will happen then? Better than starving to death... He decided. A voice in the back of his head told him to make this fun for him.
He poked the girl's head with the tip of his shoe. The impact from him to her sent a warm feeling up his leg and through his body. Her blood was rich and healthy. The girl slowly blinked awake, sitting up and staring at Shade. "Who are you? And where am- oh, don't tell me I fell asleep here again?!"
"You shouldn't be out here this late." Shade said, suductivly. "You don't know how dangerous somewhere this beautiful as here could be. And someone as beautiful as you would be in danger."
The girl blushed, sending a signal to Shade that this was working. "Oh uh..." She said nervously, twittling her hair through her fingers. "I don't know how to get home, can you point me in the direction of Nevermore?"
Shade smiled warmly, but the warmth was a lie. He stepped closer. "How about I take you there." He suggested, masking the coldness. He took her hand, and the girl blushed harder. "We can walk... It's not that far away." Shade said, laying a hand on her cheek.
"Why are you so nice to me?" The girl asked, obviously tricked by Shade's lust. Shade just stood and smiled, leaning in to what seemed like a kiss, but darted sideways and bit her neck. The girl screamed, but it faded into a whisper as she went limp and fell to the ground. Shade smiled coldly.

Akira was watching it all. She knew it was because he was a vampire, but it still upset her inside. She looked away into the moon, her snow white hair shining.

Shade smile faded away she he felt Akira being there. He picked up the flower and ran off, glancing at her for a second.

"OI! GET THE HECK BACK HERE DAMNIT! Akira heard him running. She stood up and turned her head, then started to run after him.

Shade heard Akira's footsteps. He stopped at the front of his house, his back turned toward Akira.

Akira finally found him. She stopped at the bushes, and panted, watching him.

Shade heard her breathing. He paid no mind and walked up the steps of the porch. A tear fell from his face.

Akira stopped panting, and ran up to him. "Shade, wait." She called lightly.

"What?" Shade said in a low voice, trying to mask the sadness. He braced himself for Akira to say "Goodbye"

Akira stopped a couple of feet behind him, not knowing what to say. She didn't know why she ran, she didn't know why she was here.

Shade silently waited for Akira to say something. His hands were in fists and his head was low.

"I.. uh.." She mumbled trying to figure out what to say.

Shade sighed. He opened the door and walked inside.

Akira shifted awkwardly but followed him in.

Shade went up the stairs and sat on his bed, wondering what to do.

Akira ran up the stairs after thinking a little. She stood in the doorway, looking at Shade.

"Why did you follow me..." Shade mummbled.

"U-Uh.. Well.." Akira began.

"Instead of studdering, can you just tell me." Shade said, a hint of coldness in his voice.

"I.. I don't really like when you feed on people.." Akira explained in a weak voice, then talked louder, "Maybe you could.. feed off of me once in awhile to keep your hunger away SO YOU CAN HAVE SOME OF ME INSIDE YOU.".

"But you're a vampire. You have false-blood." Shade explained.

"But.. Shouldn't it work somehow? I wasn't born a vampire.. so I might have mixed blood." Akria said.

"I dunno... I don't feel very comfortable taking blood from you..." Shade said.

"But.. it's better then what you're doing now.. Please?" Akira said.

Shade thought for a while. "Alright fine... but don't expect me to like the idea." Shade said. He layed down on his bed.
