"about five to ten minutes later Liyra leaned towards Zelinks ear, "don't tell Cai but I'm a little tired, I hope you don't mind carrying me while I take a nap ok." Liyra said before laying her head down and dozeing off.

Zelink flicked his ears in understanding and pulled his wings forward a bit, to hid the fact Liyra was sleeping. Cai didn't notice at first, not looking at Liyra. After a little bit, though he realized she was too quite and turned around to find her sleeping. He shook his head, "silly girl," he muttered, "I'll wake her up when we get to the cave." and led on

Liyra sat there sleeping, she was having a plesent dream.

After a while, they made it to the cave. "Hey, Liyra, we're at the cave," Cai said, gently shaking her shoulder.

Liyra rolled and fell off of Zeling and landed on her back on the ground, "five more minutes mom..." she mumbled, a little bit of drool going down the side of her face.

"Well, that didn't quite work," Zelink said, not realizing until too late that she was falling off of him. "Thank you, captain obvious," Cai said before turning back to Liyra. He knelt next to her and gently shook her again. "Come on Liyra, you wanted to see the Cave," he said.

Liyra slowly blinked awake and looked around, "owwww.... my back hurts. Liyra whined." as she sat up.

"Well, you did roll yourself off," Cai said and extended a hand to pull her up.

Liyra got up and notied the cave, "Oh! Look! Last one inside is a rotten egg!" She shouted cheerfully as she ran off.

Cai just stared after her for a moment, then followed behind at a slower pace. Zelink took off and caught up with Liyra.

"Heh! Heh! Looks like you're the rotten egg Cai." Liyra teased as she went inside of the cave with Zelink. "Wow! It's really pretty in here.!" She shouted in supprise.

"Yeah, but don't touch the-" he cut off as he went into the cave. It felt odd, like he wasn't supposed to be there. Instinctively, his hand went to his ever-present sword. "Don't touch the crystals..." he said, quieter than he had intended as he looked around. Zelink was also looking around, but he didn't seemed worried in the slightest.

"Huh? What was that? did you say something Cai?" Liyra asked, Her hand already on a glowing blue crystal.

With his free hand, Cai face-palmed. "You had best hope that was a water crystal," he said, a little louder this time, bet there was still a nervous edge to his voice.

"What's the matter Cai? you seem stressed. Are you ok?" Liyra asked.

"Uh...yeah, I'm fine," he said, clearly not fine as he went further into the cave. Calm down, there isn't anything in here that you can't handle, he thought, but his body, normally never stressed, was on edge, knowing it could now die.

Liyra quickly turned on her heel and gave Cai a hug, no doubt probably startleing Cai in the process.

Cai jerked away and turned around, his body reacting before his mind could. His sword was already halfway out when he realized it was just Liyra. He forced himself to relax. "I...sorry," Cai said, taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart, "I didn't mean to...it's just this place..." he couldn't quite get out what he wanted to say, so he just shut his mouth.

Liyra saw hat Cai was about to do and back away scared and hid behind Zelink.

Cai realized she was hiding from him. He hung his head "Liyra, I'm not going to hurt you, I promise. You just...you just startled me," he said. He wanted to hug her, but was afraid that she would think he was trying to hurt her. Zelink nudged her with his muzzle.

"N-No it's ok Y-You just startled me is all. Um Cai? We can go if you don't want to be here. I fon't want to feel like I'm makeing you uncomfortble ok." Liyra said.

"No, no. You wanted to see this place, so you'll get to see it," he said, shaking himself and walking a little further.

"No Cai! I go to see this place and I have, now I don't want to stay any longer if it's makeing you uncomfortable!" Liyra said strenly as she grabbed him by the collar and led him out of the exit to Nevermore City.
