"G...Gregory..." she sniffled, rubbing her nose and reddened eyes, sniffling while fighting back the oncoming tears. She couldn't take the horrible memories that insisted to wildly flash in her mind. She became slightly more insane every time she thought of him. However, in a sense, she became slightly more numb to her emotions instead of a victim.

At last, she surrendered the urge to move forward and sat at the base of the sturdiest and biggest tree she would locate, sitting on its roots and deeply weeping into her hands. She was going mad. She could feel it.

It actually seemed to be a very calming day as Jason made his way through the forest. He had been practicing really hard with his abilities but he thought it was just time for him to take a break. Suddenly, as he too a stroll, he heard the faint sniffling. Instantly, his guard went up but so did his curiousness. "H-Hello?" He called out to whoever was there. It was definitely strange that he came across someone, especially someone that was crying. Maybe they were here for the same reason he was: just to get away and take a break from society. He continued to walk closer to the noise with a slight nervousness surging through his body until he spotted the source of the sound. The girl had honestly surprised him, but she didn't look to be dangerous-- just sad or depressed. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked as he approached her.

She lifted her head up and stared at him, hugging her knees, staring at him with wide, unruly crimson eyes. She was scared, alone, and afraid of everything. She thought the forest was more secure than what she could find there, but apparently she was mistaken. She started to hyperventilate, her fingernails digging into her shins. She backed up until her back was uncomfortably pressing against the bark of the tree. "Who...who are you?!" she exclaimed, her actions portraying more frantic and desperate than anything. She learned to trust no one even if they appeared young and innocent.

Especially after him...

Looks are incredibly deceiving. . .

As the girl freaked out, Jason couldn't help but feel extremely uncomfortable, but there was also another feeling. It was that he felt bad for her. It was pity. He realized, though, that it wasn't because of just her, it was because he was sympathizing with her. But the way she was acting was overpowering the sensation of sympathy. Instead, he was becoming very nervous. He took a few steps back away from this weird girl before falling back on his rear end like a fool. It took a moment for him to recover and actually find his voice. "I, uh... I'm Jason. Jason Harvey. Who are you?" He couldn't help but ask.

She started to slightly shake, but she lowered her head and rested her forehead on her kneecaps, shivering from what seemed like a nonexistent chill. Her teeth chattered from nervousness as she forced herself to grasp her sanity to ask him another question. "Why are you here? Where...?" she muttered, not bothering to ask if he was okay. "....where did you come from?"

The way this girl was still acting trouble Jason immensely, but he wasn't just going to leave her there with her feeling the way she was. "I.. I came from Windtown. I'm here because I just wanted some peace and quiet. Um, are you okay? He asked, hoping to get some kind of answers out of her. He wanted to know who this girl was. She seemed too distraught to really do much, but he didn't want to approach her if she was going to try to kill him.

She stared at him, her crimson eyes filled with fear. However, slowly, the twinkles in her eyes that conveyed such emotion dwindled and was quickly replaced with curiosity and astonishment. Despite her becoming slightly at ease, she kept her guard up, not letting him, not letting Jason take advantage of her changing demeanor. "I'm...just...what's Windtown?" She was genuinely intrigued. She readjusted her posture, sitting up slightly straighter, focusing her attention on him. Whether his response would be a friendly answer or a hostile approach, she was ready.

As she answered him with another question, he found it a little strange that she had never heard of Windtown before. It was the most populated place of Skyshatter, at least, as far as he knew. Nevermore City was definitely a close second, but she's never heard of Windtown? That was just odd... "Uh.. It's the, um, largest town here in Skyshatter. It's a really nice place if you want to come back with me--" He paused and just kind of let his voice trail off. Did he really want to do that? He wasn't even sure if this girl was truly right in the head, and then he was just going to invite her to walk with him? Alone? By themselves? Well, he had already pitched the idea so it was already a little too late to take it back.
