The 4 S's (perfect for any date)

Shade was sitting by the Lake waiting for Akira. He had left earlier that day and had put a note with a time and place on it beside the breakfast he had made for her. It was night now and Shade figured that Akira would show up soon.

Akira came rushing up out of the thick trees behind. She stopped when she spotted Shade and smiled. "Sorry for being so late!" Akira blurted out.

"You're not, You're actually a couple of minutes early" Shade replied calmly, a slight grin on his face.
"Join me?" Shade asked as he patted a spot beside him.

Akira looked stunned. "Huh.. really? That's a first." She seemed to say to herself. Akira's surprised face turned into a big smile again as she walked up to him. She took her shoes off and placed them beside her and sat down on the other side of the blanket. She felt all giddy with excitement, like this was her first date.

"Hungry?" Shade asked, his eyes were red but he was doing his best to hide it, knowing how uncomfortable it made Akira feel. It was hard though considering what a beautiful night it was with the full moon and all the stars making it brighter out

Akira's stomach growled. "Ahaha.. yes." She said, embarrassed. Akira looked at Shade, she was still getting used to his weird mood-ring-like eyes, but she wondered what he was thinking about. "What kind of grub do ya' got?" Akira asked, putting that thought aside.

"I made sandwiches and that's kinda about it, sorry about the lack of options." shade replied as he got one out of the picnic basket for her.

"Anything made by you is good!" Akira replied cheerfully as he took it from his hand and took a big bite out of it, leaving crumbs all over her face. "Mmm." She mumbled as she chewed.

"Wow, anyone else would think you haven't been eating. Was that big breakfast not enough or something?" Shade said as he took a paper napkin and gently wiped the crumbs off of Akira's face

Akira blushed. "N-No the breakfast was perfect! I just have a big appetite.." She tried to explain, then nervously laughed.

"It's fine Akira, You don't have to explain yourself to me." shade replied before Lying on his back and looking up at the moon and stars. "You know.. It's been a long time since I've looked up at the night Sky. So much has happened down here but the moon and stars don't ever change, like they're unaffected by time. It kinda makes you think huh?"

Akira stopped eating and looked up at the sky too. She nodded. "It reminds me of one of the first times we were alone together like this." Akira said with a smile.

"Yeah, and just look at the lake, it's so calm it's like a mirror." Shade said before standing up and extending a hand. "Care to go for a swim through the stars?" He asked.

Akira smiled and put down her sandwich. She grabbed his hand and stood up. "I would love to." She replied.

Shade took his shirt and pants off so they wouldn't get soaked and dived in waiting for Akira to follow.

Akira took her dress and socks off, and dove in wearing only her underwear. She rose back up to the surface and splashed Shade playfully.

Shade smiled then retaliated before diving under the water where Akira couldn't see him.

Akira turned around in the water, trying to spot where he'd come up. She wouldn't let him trick her this time!

Shade grabbed her by her ankles and tried to pull her under quickly before swimming away expecting her to turn around.

Akira was pulled under the surface. She opened her eyes, and turned around to see no one. She popped up above the surface again.

Shade had come up behind Akira and put his arms around her, "Guess who."

Akira laughed. "Hmm.. Shade?" She guessed jokingly.

"What makes you think that? Who's to say I'm not a lake monster." Shade replied jokingly.

"Nessie? Nessie! I knew you were real!" Akira laughed with him.

Shade laughed for a little bit.
