Ashley's &Akio's date thingy

Ashley set down her picnic blanket in the middle of the field and sat down. Stella, her raccoon, scampered around in the grass. I hope he gets here soon Ashley thought.

Akio walked into the park, hands in pokets. He looked for Ashley.

Stella yapped behind Ashley. She turned around and saw Akio. "Hey, there you are!" she called, waving at him.

Akio looked up and saw Ashley. He walked toward her.

Ashley smiled. "Could you be a little more quiet?" she said teasingly.

"Yeah, but then I wouldn't be alive." Akio laughed, sitting down at the blanket.

Ashley laughed too, and reached into her picnic basket. She pulled out a couple of burgers and tossed one to Akio. "Here, eat this. I got them from the diner," she said.

"Cool." Akio said, taking a bite out of the burger.

Stella watched them, and trotted up to Akio. She looked at the burger he was eating and tried to make the cutest begging face she could.

Ashley pulled out some fries and started eating, not paying attention to the mischievous raccoon.

Akio tried to ignore the raccoon and kept eating.

Ashley looked up and saw what Stella was doing."Stella, don't do that! That's rude!" Then she said to Akio, "I'm sorry, I should have left her at home. She does that to almost everyone when they're eating."

Stella ran off to bother someone else.

"No no, it's fine." Akio said. "I've had practice with my pets."

"Yeah, but she needs to learn that stuff like that is frowned upon by most people," Ashley said. In an effort to change the subject, she said, "So, what have you been doing?"

Akio sighed. "Not much..."

"Come'on there must have been something interesting that's happened that i don't know about!" She said, reaching into the basket again, and pulling out a can of coke. She tossed it to Akio

"My life is boring." Akio groaned.

"Well, that sucks,"Ashley said, puling out a water bottle for herself. She unscrewed the cap and said, "Maybe I can change that" then, laughing, she directed all the water in the bottle over Akio's head, and dropped it on him.

Akio sat there laughing. The water evaporated quickly. He took another bottle and dumped it on Ashley.

Her laughter coming to a stop, Ashley said,"Well that was fun. Do you want to go for a walk?"

"Sure." Akio replied getting up, holding out his hand.

Ashley took his hand, and stood up.

Akio walked with Ashley around the park. It was wide and spacious.

"It's so pretty out here,"Ashley said. A cold breeze started blowing, and she moved closer to Akio. "and a little cold."

Akio put his arm around Ashley. "It's not that bad..." He said.

"Yeah, right,"Ashley said, but she was smiling.
