Cai has a new sword

"Yep. You need more practice. First off, you can't every back away like that. That gives you way to many week spots." Cai said this bluntly, no time for jokes now.

"Okay." She said. Akira got back into her battle position. She closed her eyes and then opened them, clearing her mind of everything else but fighting. She stared at Cai.

hmmm, she's got that look Cai thought, also in battle stance. He wanted her to attack first.

Akira's eyes were almost blank. She ran quickly towards Cai and hit him with the plastic sword hard in his left side and sent him flying to the wall. Her emotion went blank fully.

What the? Is this her killer mode? Cai thought as he was sent into the wall. He jumped into a flying leap, land squarely in front of Akira, and hit her stomach.

Akira stumbled back a little, but seemed unaffected by it. She quickly ran up to him and kicked him, making him stumble backwards, then slashed him across his torso.

Cai swirled around her, just out of reach, until, there! He swung at her left side before side stepping to her side, out of reach again

Akira fell down after getting hit. She stayed on the ground for a few moments, then looked up. "Wha? What happened.." She mumbled.

Cai stopped and knelt down, sword still ready, just in case. "Your eyes went blank and you attacked me" he said.

Akira sat up. "I did that?" She asked.

"Yeah" he said. I was right..he thought

Akira stood up. Maybe if I could learn to control it, we could use it for good with the battle on evil.. she thought.

ic:" Maybe we should wait a little before we try to fight again. Have you learned anything about the evil ones yet?" Cai said, standing up with her.

Akira nodded. "No, not yet.." She replied.

ic: "Okay. Be careful, though. Your greatest weapon is also your greatest weakness,"Cai said, dead serious.

Akira nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." She said.

"Maybe I should show you how to keep that dagger sharp," Cai said. He didn't want to fight with her again.

Akira glanced over to her dagger. "Okay." She said.

Cai went back into a separate room, and came out with a silver block,"This is a sharpening block." Cai said.

"How does it work?" She asked.

"You hold it out like this," He held it out in front of him, then picked up her dagger," And you drag the sharp part across it. It works kind of like a cat sharpening it's claws. The gritty surface sharpens the metal."

"Oh, I see.." She said, observing him.

"You try it," he said, handing the items to Akira

Akira looked at them in her hands then dragged to dagger's sharp part across it. "Like this?" She asked, still concentrated on it.

"Yep. That's good," Cai said.
