Numb (OPEN :DDD)

Paisley walked down the snow covered street, unaware of where she was really going. She just let her mind go blank and her legs move on there own. She staid silent, and had a blank expression on her face. Every once in a while, her memory would attack her, and the guilt and fear along with it. She remembered her parents death, the death that she could have stopped. The memory had surprised attacked her this morning, and she ran out of her house and into- well, where ever she was now. The cold numbed her everywhere, but she didn't care. She deserved to hurt.

Mika was sitting in a ditch full of ice and snow. She shivered as she leaned back against an old log. She had run away from Scar, besides the fact that she was now blind. Mika was now lost, and cold. Very, very cold.

Paisley looked over and saw someone else. Thankful for the distraction, she walked over to her. " Hello, are are you okay?" She asked cautiously.

Mika jumped a little. "Who's there?" She asked.

Paisley chuckled slightly, then realized something as she looked at Mika's sightless eyes.. She gently touched her shoulder. " Hello my name is Paisley, do you need any help?" She asked in a kind voice, something that she didn't know she had.

Mika tilted her head down. "If I die here, would anyone miss me?" She muttered under her breath.

"Of course we would!" Shade said, coming out from behind a snow pile.

Mika turned her head to where she heard Shade's voice.

Scar appeared from behind Shade and ran up to Mika and hugged her. "I thought you'd die!" He said to her, "Don't ever run away like that, especially now that you're blind.".

"Scar.." She mumbled, putting her arm around him and burrowing her head in his shoulder.

Paisley watched in surprise as the others ran up to Mika. She stood up. " Well, um, it was nice to meet you." She mumbled before turning around, about to walk away. Her dark brown hair fell around her face like a curtain, blocking her from the rest of the world.

Scar backed away from Mika and looked at the girl. "Leaving already?" He asked.

Paisley turned around and shrugged. " I don't want to interfere in you little reunion." She said sarcastically before smiling so he knew she has kidding.

Scar laughed. "It's okay." He joked. Inside he knew that she may be one of the people he has to kill in the future.

Paisley smiled at him. " I'm Paisley, by the way." She reached out a hand towards the boy.

"I'm Scar." He replied. Scar hesitated before extending his hand to shake hers.

Mika tilted her head down. She had no clue what was going on.

" What's wrong, miss?" She asked her before leaning down by her.

"I'm.. blind." She mumbled.

Paisley nodded. " And are you gonna let that stop you?" She asked looking at Mika's sightless eyes.

"I can't see anything! I'm useless." Mika replied.

"You are NOT useless! Mika, we NEED you! You NEVER say that! EVER! Mika, we love you!"

Mika tilted her head to where she heard Shade's voice coming from. "But.. I can't fight anymore." She said.

Paisley smiled. " But I'm sure you can do other stuff, you don't have sight for everything."
