Just Sittin' at the lake for no reason at all

"Well, I just feel like my whole world's been turned inside out, ya know?" He began.

"Hmm~ That's how I felt when I first started living in the forest and then killed my bestfriend! And then, I got chased out, and I felt like EVERYONE hated me!" She said. Akira would usually never say those kinds of things to him about her past.

Cai finely broke down and said what he knew was truely bothering him,"my own brother turned agaisnt me! How does that even happen?" The tears started to come again.

"He's an idiot! He doesn't really understand what he's doing, obviously! You need to teach him~" She said, looking at Cai and smiled. She put her hand on his shoulder.

"I can't change him...and he DOES know what he's doing. He's not stupid. If anyone's stupid, it's me," Cai said angrilly.

"You're not stupid!" She said.

"Yeah, right," Cai said.

'I'm seeeerious!" She complained.

Cai didn't answer. He didn't want to share anything else at the moment.

Akira became silent. "Well.. if you need anyone to talk to, I'm always here.." She said, sleepy with a bit of drunkness left. She got up, and started to stumble away.

"Wait!" Cai said. He decided that it would be best to tell her what was on his mind.

Akira turned around, stopping. "Whaat is it?" She asked.

"i think I need to tell you something," Cai said, looking down at the ground.

Akira walked back and sat beside him once again.

Cai began quietly, "what's really bothering me is that, if I hadn't been so stupid in the human's world, my brother wouldn't even be here. Neither would I. You see, my dad was killed by police officers trying to take him here. He spent every moment of our lives keeping us away from skyshatter. And I blew it. Only a month after he was killed, I got in a stupid fight with some guy. I paralyzed him, and they took me here. They found out Osi was a caster too. It's all my stupid fault! And what was the fight about? A freakin' five dollar bill!"

Akira sat quietly as she listened to him.

"I'm so stupid!" he yelled, tears flooding back to his eyes.

Lunar appeared out of the bushes. She carried a bottle on her back. She stopped in front of Cai, and nudged the bottle to him, with a little note that said 'Drink me, It'll make you happy.'.

Akira looked at it. "That's what Lunar gave me before that made me happy! It really works! Try it!" She said, still drunk.

"Yeah, right. That's what made you drunk," Cai said. He picked up the bottle and threw it at a tree. It shattered, spilling the contents all over the place.

"Drunk? I'm not drunk~ Hey, why'd you do that?!" Akira said.

Lunar narrowed her eyes at him then walked away, flicking her tail around.

"I'm not drinking that stuff," Cai said, then started crying again.

"Stooop crying! It's making me too~" She said.

Cai was angry at himself. He needed to talk to the real Akira, not this drunk version.

Akira leaned her back against him. She looked up at the moon. "You know your my bestfriend, and I hate to see you like this. Even I get like that sometimes, but I try to hide it, because it just distracts me from my goal." She said softly, trying to make as much sense as she could. She started to seem less and less drunk by the second.

Cai looked up at the moon too. He smiled when he heard what Akira said. "It's just so confusing." he said.
