Just Sittin' at the lake for no reason at all

"I understand." She replied. Akira smiled also.

"Thanks Akira," Cai said.

"And thanks to you also." She said.

"What are you thanking me for?" Cai asked.

"For being there for me when Shade wasn't." Akira replied. A cold breeze blew through the trees. She shivered a bit.

Cai didn't respond.

Akira blinked a couple of times, then noticed the silence. She glanced over her shoulder to look at him.

Cai's eyes were closed. he looked like he was sleeping, but he was actually thinking about happier times.

Akira looked back up at the moon, it looked pure white. Her fingers curled up. It reminded her of that day.

ooc: OMG what day? *watches you curiously*

ic:Cai was thinking about his old life, before his father had died.

(OOC: The night in which Akira's parents got brutally murdered in front of her, then they noticed her and the head/king vampire that looks the same as she does now turned her into a vampire. That's why before she met Shade she hated being in vampire form. :3)

Akira mumbled something lowly under her breath, then looked away from the moon.

ooc: Oh, ok :3

ic: Cai heard her mumbling. "What's wrong?" he asked her quietly. His eyes were still closed.

Akira didn't feel like telling him, but knew she should. "Well.. that moon.." She begun.

"Go on," he said politely. Yay, it was emotionally scarring back-story night!

"It reminds me of that night.. Well, I'll tell you the whole story. It was a night like this one, very silent and the moon was fully bright white, just like fangs.. I was sleeping, then I heard a scream, so I looked out of my room door, and saw it.. one tall white haired and blue eyed vampire and two vampires with dark brown hair and red eyes. They were slowly killing my parents by torturing them.. I was really shocked of what I saw, and made a noise. They noticed me, and the white haired one came to me, I tried to run but I couldn't move. Then he tied me to a chair to watch them being killed.. after that, he turned me into a vampire, and decided to spare me.. My whole village thought it was me that did that. I ran until they stopped chasing me, that's when I saw my only friend. I was very bloodthirsty, and didn't know how to hold it back.. so I killed her. After realizing what I did, I cried, and ran deeper into the forest." She explained the sad and terrible night of her and her parents twisted fate.

Cai sat in silence for a moment, trying to find the right words. Suddenly his own problems didn't seem so bad. "That-that's harsh," he finally said, hoping he wouldn't upset her.

Akira closed her eyes for a moment and tilted her head down. She then opened her eyes and looked up at the moon once more, before changing her gaze to the lake. "I wonder why I only watched and didn't do anything about it.." She murmured.

"Fear can freeze you. It's not your fault," Cai said quietly.

Akira nodded. "I wish I could've did something though.. but, if I did.. I would never of met you or Shade." She replied.

"I know how you feel," Cai said. He smiled.

Akira smilled too. She knew whatever would happen to her, Cai would always be there, not like.. Shade.

"You know what I think?" Cai said, "I think this is the way things were meant to be."

Akira nodded. "Yeah." She agreed.

A soft breeze started to blow, and Cai decided to just sit there and enjoy it.

Akira yawned. Her before drunkness had made her sleepy. She ignored it.
