Just Sittin' at the lake for no reason at all

Cai yawned too. "You tired?" he asked.

Akira nodded. "Yeah." She replied.

Cai laughed. "Me too."

Akira stretched out her arms. "It's been a long day." She said, laughing with Cai.

"Yeah, you're right," Cai said, still laughing.

Akira stopped laughing and looked up at the stars. There were two shining ones on one side of the moon, and a bunch of little ones around it, and one big one on the other side, filled with other small ones. She blinked for a second and turned her head to Cai. "Wanna make a promise to forever be friends, no matter what?" She asked.

Cai answered slowly. He had stopped laughing." Yes."

Akira stuck extended her hand to him. She put up her pinkie finger. "Pinkie promise?" She said. Akira remembered when her mother used to do that all the time.

Cai hooked her pinky in his."Pinky promise," he repeated.

Akira smiled, enjoying the moment.

Cai smiled too.

Lunar was in the bushes. She accidentally made a rustle. Akira's gaze fixed on the bushes, and saw Lunar's glowing eyes peering out at them. "Lunar.." She grumbled.

"That crazy cat," Cai laughed. He wasn't a cat person.

Akira's growl turned into a laugh. "Yeah." She replied. Lunar quickly dashed away.

"And she's gone," Cai laughed again.

"Yep, that cat is mysterious.." She said, laughing.

"Are all cats like that?" Cai asked. He never had a cat.

"Hmm.. no, I don't think most cats set beds on fire and get their masters drunk." She replied, remembering all the things Lunar did.

Cai laughed, "I guess not."

Akira laughed back, she moved closer to the edge of the dock they were on and stuck her feet in the water.

Cai layed back to look at the stars again.

"It's such a peaceful night." Her words broke the silence.

"mhmm,"Cai replied.

"Sad to think that if we don't do anything about it, all of this will be gone.. we'll probably be trapped then killed, and made as prisoners, and never get to see something like this again.." She mumbled under her breath quietly.

Cai sat up quickly."Don't say that. We'll when, don't you worry," He said enthusiastically
