A Starlit Night

"Yeah.. I know, I just hope she survives this..." John said as Neyomi coughed a little and her hand hung limply off of the side of the bed that Cai was on, "She just looks so pitiful.. it breaks my heart." He mumbled.

OOC: Coughing is an involentary reflex right?

ooc: Don't ask me, i know nothing about that kind of stuff ^^

ic: Cai simply nodded, not knowing what to say.

Donna came back in with a needle an test tubes, "Ok, who's giving blood first?" she asked.

"Neyomi, then Cai, then Lucy." John said, he pointed to each one in turn.

"So, this is a blood-borne disease?" Cai asked. He didn't know anything about the black plague.

"Cai, have you ever heard of 'Lymes disease' or 'Rocky Mountian Spotted Fever'?" John asked.

Donna went over to Neyomi and started to take her blood.

Cai nodded. "Yep," he said.

"Well you've got the same concept here exept it's the Black flea that carries this disease, but even though we think it's 'Black Plague' there sre alot of other diseases it could be so we have to run blood tests to be sure, and the reason I pointed all of you out in the order that I did was so Donna can tell the guys over in the lab which blood samples to check first." John explained.

Cai nodded in understanding. "okay, I get it now," he said.

Donna finished with Lucy then went over to Cai, "Your turn." she said.

"Alright," Cai said, holding out his arm for the nurse.

"I garentee your going to feel wozy after this, your friend is Lucky she's in a coma, she cant feel anything." Donna said as she stuck the needle in hi arm, five minutes later she was done and moved on to Lucy who took less then a minute.

Cai stiffened slightly as the needle went in, but that was the only sign he gave of dis-comfort.

"I'll be back when we get the blood results." Donna said as she left.

"You ok Cai? You look pale!" John laughed.

Cai glared at him. "Shut up," he said.

Lucy started to laugh too, "You look like you've seen a ghost Cai!" She laughed.

"Oh, and you don't?" Cai said, starting to laugh too.

"No, she doesn't you blind bat!" John laughed.

OOC: Time Skip? Because otherwise John and Lucy are just going to keep picking on Cai.

"Pfft, you're the blind one!" Cai said.

ooc: YES PLEASE, to when the blood results come back

Donna came back in hours later and handed the results to John.

"Good news, It's not 'Black Plague'." John said.

"Okay, what is it?" Cai asked.

"It's Typus, it's not common and it is deadly, but it's easilly treatable with antibiotics and more good news is that both you and Lucy are negative for it. We'll be moving Neyomi to the Coma ward soon, you're free to go if you like or you can stay untill visiting hours are over, it's up to you." John said

"Hmmm. I think I'll stay till visiting hours are over. What about you, Lucy?" Cai said.

"I think I'm going to go home, this croweded hospital is makeing me feel sick." Lucy Said, as she rolled away.

"Ok, then have a safe trip Lucy." John said then turned to Cai, "Do you mind helping me move Neyomi to the Coma ward?" John asked.

"Sure, okay," Cai said, moving to help him

Donna brought in a gurney and positioned it beside the bed.

"Ok, I'll get her legs, ou get her head, just be carfle of the IV in her arm." John said as he pulled the sheet's off of Neyomi and gently grabbed her by the legs.
